About the role

The role is part of SLD Pumps & Power (Carrier's company) which is one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment. The main goal of this role is to increase the level of rentals and sales of SLD Pumps & Power equipment within the designated region.


  • Base salary + 20% bonus

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • Previous sales experience in Rental Sector – required
  • Customer focus
  • Result driven attitude
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Flexibility with a willingness to travel
  • Great communication skills
  • Good MS Office skills
  • UK driving license

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing the sales function in the designated region;
  • Increasing the level of awareness of customers of SLD Pumps & Power and associated companies within the region;
  • Developing existing customer relations, creating, and establishing a new network of additional customers;
  • Increasing the sale and rental revenue for SLD Pumps & Power in the designated region;
  • Marketing the products of services of SLD Pumps & Power and associated companies.
  • Providing reports on customer enquiries, hires and sales in the designated area.
  • Assisting the Depots in the designated region to increase overall performance.
  • Assisting in the collection of payments due for services provided in the designated area.
  • Liaising and working effectively with the Company’s operations team;
  • Assisting with the free movement of equipment among all Depots (nationally);
  • Maintaining a close connection with all Depots in remit;
