About this Role
Carrier Global Digital Finance has an opening in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the Digital Technology (DT) organization. This position acts as a business partner to DT and will require interaction with all levels of the organization, up to and including the executive leadership team. This position is responsible for leading financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and involves preparing action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions. Additionally, the FP&A Senior Manager provides technical subject matter expertise to senior leaders and ensures that financial practices are conducted accurately and in compliance with regulations, laws, and standards. This position operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability. The candidate should also demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, data acumen, with attention to accuracy and execution rigor.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategically partner with the Digital leadership team to meet annual and long-term goals
Monitor leading indicators to identify initiative delivery risks and operational performance gaps, drive action or provide alternative approaches.
Seek ways to continuously and proactively guide executives to meet and surpass performance goals.
Assist in identifying performance issues and provide help in course-correcting (gap-to-goal adjustments).
Identify cost optimization opportunities and assist in planning cost-reduction strategies.
Lead the budgeting process for multiple Digital Cost-Centers
Engage in budget pressure-testing, providing FP&A expertise to ensure stakeholders understand potential risks and constraints for both OPEX and CAPEX
Help stakeholders create business cases, outlining their benefits, costs, and risks; and provide recommendations to secure adequate funding and approval.
Complete monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities
Lead financial reporting, analysis and forecasting cycles for multiple Digital cost centers
Prepare and leads monthly and quarterly financial reviews with senior leaders up to SVP. Provide interpretation of complex financial reports and statistical analysis as well as the development of recommendations.
Leads processes to ensure that financial practices are conducted accurately and in compliance with regulations, laws, and standards.
Influence both immediate team and Carrier culture
Manage, develop and inspire a team of 2 (Finance Specialist and a Finance Manager)
Advocate for the Digital strategy to facilitate the adoption of new tools and processes.
Manage large scale projects / activities, such as historical restatements, automation, TSA…etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics
8+ years of Finance experience executing large scale and complex global projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong ability to work with both business and Digital stakeholders across all levels of an organization
Financial Management system experience (HFM, SAP, S4Hana, CFIN)
Attention to accuracy and execution is a must
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent time management and project management skills
