Primary Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of sourcing and supply chain processes and systems.
  • Proven leadership skills to collaborate effectively with senior management, coupled with excellent negotiation abilities.
  • Extensive experience in managing Information Technology commodities, including software, hardware, telecom, with a primary focus on professional services and contingent labor.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure precision and accuracy in tasks.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating directly with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and propose multiple solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Ability to comprehend the requirements of global programs and work with internal teams to suggest alternative components or solutions effectively.
  • Proven experience in developing sourcing policies by thoroughly understanding procurement processes and adhering to company policies.
  • Capability to independently manage SEZ processes and compliance, including understanding escalation matrices and ensuring timely shipment releases.
  • Familiarity with customs and central excise processes related to imports and exports.
  • Practical expertise in coordinating with Customs House Agents (CHA) and freight forwarders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adept at reviewing agreements and related documents to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and vendor collaboration skills, with the ability to persuade and ensure timely delivery of programs.
  • Experience in working with diverse, global teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Business Planning and Control System (BPCS), with advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Proven ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers while ensuring strict adherence to business confidentiality.
  • Hands-on experience with ARIBA tools and proficiency in comparable ERP systems.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of SEZ compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Ariba or similar procurement platforms
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • MBA with specialization in material management will be an added advantage

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in supply chain software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.

Job Description

  • Establishes key elements of Supply Chain plans in terms of operations, specific interventions, related costs and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.
  • Develops new systems and processes in support of Supply Chain strategy. Leads collaboration with channel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers.
  • Directs implementation of large scale supply chain management related programs and processes; Engages and collaborates with other functions/vendors to support strategic goals.
  • Gathers inputs on prices of different raw materials from primary and secondary sources; identifies opportunities for outsourcing and cost reduction and all other related information important to develop the supply chain management strategy.
  • Provides inputs on cost saving opportunities; Provides market cost data to formulate the budget for the year.
  • Sets frameworks for implementing guidelines on contract development.
  • Manages adherence to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.
