We currently have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented Technical Sales Support Project Engineer on our Data Center and Industrial team, focusing on business development and HVAC sales. You will be responsible for supporting our growth in commercial equipment, controls and service sales in the Data Center and Industrial market in North America.

This role may sit anywhere in the United States near a major airport.

Key job responsibilities include

  • Provide project management and engineering support for data center and industrial projects

  • Provide specialized commercial applied HVAC equipment selections and pricing

  • Prepare technical documentation including submittal packages, close-out documents, and others

  • Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers

  • Have an ability to coordinate across multiple functions and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Manage Salesforce opportunities for internal tracking and strategizing organizational needs

  • Coordinate with Carrier Commercial Service organization to provide turn-key proposals for industrial and data center service

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of estimating, sales engineering or project engineering experience in the mechanical field

  • Ability to travel 25-50%. Primarily domestic travel but international may be requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar

  • 3-7 years of HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs – Commercial Applied Equipment experience

  • Data center design experience and central utility plant design experience

  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, sense of ownership is required

  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates

  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize multiple priorities

  • Unwavering customer service orientation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
