About This Role
We are looking for an experienced sales business development professional that will be overseeing and participating in activities such as bids, trade shows, and customer relationship management. Responsible for representing the company's interests, and building business relationships to enhance sales business development performance. The territory is assigned accounts throughout the US and desired candidates will be located near an internal airport in the following states due to significant travel requirements: TX, FL, GA, IN, OH, MO, TN, LA, MN, NC, SC, CO, AZ, DC Metro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary contact to identify prospective for account management teams and develops a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet the customer needs.

  • Conducts business development activities for account management teams within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.

  • Leads bid opportunities, participates in the preparation of bid responses and the negotiation with potential customers.

  • Develops and promotes new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.

  • Proactively supports and develops prospective projects with assigned customers and presents to sales business development team.

  • Develop personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities. Develops customer presentations for specific customer needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of Builder Industry Experience

  • 2+ years of Sales Experience

  • Ability to Travel 60% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

  • 5+ years HVAC industry experience in professional sales or marketing positions of increasing responsibility

  • Sales success at both the local and national levels through: (1) strong builder/distribution relationships and development (2) program execution and (3) effective pull-through strategy

  • Thorough understanding of U.S. home building industry including prior account management experience in Top 50 builder segment, manufactured housing or REITs verticals.

  • Understanding of two-step distribution

  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trends

  • Passion for servicing customers.  Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.

  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.

  • Ability to work in diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills, presentation and written

  • Strategic agility working with in a large matrix organization

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate findings

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

Pay Range:

$112,828 - $157,959 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
