About the role

This role will be responsible for HVAC Light commercial / VRF & Residential new product development

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HVAC & R component and overall design and development.

  • Must have a background in HVAC&R or related Industry.

  • Should be able to Individually drive Product development projects from concept to product launch (concept, design, reviews, validation, and product launch).

  • Self-motivated and able to start projects by self. Analyzing customer inputs, requirements, specifications, design & implementation.

  • Designing Sheet metal, Plastics, Heat exchangers & other related components in HVAC

  • Motivated to work individually and with team – locally and globally.

  • Hands-on experience of the manufacturing process, FMEA and Quality systems.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

M.Tech:    Would be an added advantage

Required Skills :

Sheet metal and plastic part design & Qualification

Design Analysis

CAD documentation management

Design Simulations

Design software. ProE / Creo,

AutoCAD

Domain Area : HVAC Products design

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Target experience level: 4~ 6 years

HVAC Light commercial / VRF & Residential new product development.  required as below:

  • Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

    • Strong in design software. ProE / Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD mandatory

    • Prior experience must be in sheet metal and plastic part design development & manufacturing

    • Knowledge of Materials ( SM , Plastic & others)

    • Prior experience in tool design, processes & Qualification

    • Should have gone extensively through ECR / ECIN process.

    • Experience in CAD documentation management

    • Experience in VAVE / Cost reduction projects

    • Should be able to work independently on design based on inputs given by supplier/engineers.

    • Should be able to work along with Cross functional team and vendor for design closure.

    • Knowledge of Tolerancing, GD&T , FMEA, PPAP & Quality system process

    • Knowledge of stage gate process is preferable.

    • Experience in Product management

    • Multiple project handling skills

    • Able to translate voice of customer to product design & specifications.

    • Experience with HVAC & R or related industries

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of the entire new product development process.

  • Strong English communication skills - oral and written.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

  • Passionate about building high-quality data management systems with implementation of best practices.

  • Understanding and responding quickly to issues.
