About the role

As Data center Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects from initiation to closure to the highest quality standards. Set processes, deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor / summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for both customer and upper management regarding status of project.


The Data center Project Manager will work directly with Local Teams and PM clients Teams to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible with ensuring the highest quality in the execution to achieve full satisfaction customer-wise. The role will be focused on the supply, installation and commissioning of Chiller units, CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) & CDU (Cooling Distribution Units). On-site presence will also be a must during Data Center commissioning phase to ensure good coordination with all stakeholders.


Job Description:

  • Lead and manage all phases of project development including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams.
  • Meet with clients and relevant stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of one or multiple projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery. Monitor, track progress and manage changes.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure costs remain within allocated limits.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of labour and materials.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines and quality and develop risk management strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, progress reports, budgets, and meeting minutes.
  • Implement and promote best practices and process improvements within project management in collaboration with Data Center PMO.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proven working experience in a similar role / leading and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent client-facing and strong interpersonal/communication skills with strong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or Data Center and/or constructions sites knowledge.
  • Regular travel to client meetings or Data Center construction sites will be required. Occasional travels to visit manufacturing facilities will also be appreciated.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably HVAC, construction or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with project management software tools. Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification / SMSTS is a plus.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to drive process enhancements.
