Category Manager

1. PRIMARY FUNCTION

·          Manage supplier and their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality

·          Create local/regional/global savings opportunities

·          Support the delivery of working capital targets and creditor targets for the site

·          Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds

2. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned products, consistent

with global or local procurement plans

·          Negotiate agreements with suppliers for raw materials within the value of spend

·          Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources,

milestones and measures for projects Communicate with key stakeholders on projects

to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities

ANNEX TO JOB DESCRIPTION EH&S RESPONSIBILITIES

 1. Ensure new products, processes, equipment or chemicals are approved by EHS before

implementation.

2.   Provide technical support for identifying and mitigating risks, interpreting regulatory

requirements, and implementing Carrier requirements.

3.   Identify key EHS issues during planning and design of projects which require special precaution

such as ventilation, wastewater.

4.   Ensure hazard identified in the risk assessment processes are mitigated per the action plan.

5.   Conserve natural resources in design and manufacture of products.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Diploma or Degree in Business or Engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant purchasing

experience

·          Good understanding of purchasing processes and systems

·          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·          Effective cross-functional team member with good conflict resolution skills

·          Good team player

·          Strong negotiation skills

·          Customer focused and results driven

·          Proficiency in MS office
