Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager is accountable for managing and expanding Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) and Direct Sales Programs across designated countries or territories. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring sustainable year-over-year business growth, driving operational excellence, and aligning with regional service and commercial strategies. In addition, the Area Sales Manager champions digital transformation initiatives and continuously enhances customer experience, positioning the organization for long-term success in a dynamic market environment.

Geographic Scope: Responsible for South-East Asia (excluding Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand), Japan & Korea.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Commercial Performance

  • Achieve aftermarket sales targets, delivering both revenue and EBIT objectives.
  • Expand CAP Asia Non-Traditional Channel, Telematics, Mods, and REN sales through strategic channel development initiatives.
  • Prepare accurate monthly sales forecasts, oversee end-to-end order fulfillment, and ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Drive e-commerce growth, strengthen digital engagement, and elevate customer experience.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to build strong relationships, gather market intelligence, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Provide comprehensive market updates, including pipeline status, revenue performance, gap analysis, and key insights.

Development & Strategic Support

  • Actively participate in Parts SIOP and demand planning processes to optimize inventory levels and support operational and development planning.
  • Contribute to global aftermarket initiatives, including new product development and process improvement programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, operational, and product teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead customer satisfaction surveys and implement continuous improvement actions to enhance customer experience.

Accountability

  • Deliver sustainable business growth by optimizing channel performance, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and driving operational and strategic excellence across assigned territories.

IDEAL PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Sales, Business Development, or Channel Management, with a strong track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce platform management, digital business operations, channel development, and demand creation.
  • Experience working across both traditional distribution channels and fast-paced digital environments, with end-to-end oversight of e-commerce operations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights and customer needs into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to achieving business objectives.
  • Advanced analytical, planning, and negotiation skills to support data-driven decision-making and commercial optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with high standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to influence, engage, and work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
  • Technical knowledge of reefer container systems and/or relevant operational experience is an advantage.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a must-have as the role covers SEA region (excluding Singapore) dealing majorly with Mandarin speaking customers.
