Today, we continue to lead because we have a world‑class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.

About the role
As a Value Stream Manager – Tube Fabrication, you will lead and optimize end‑to‑end manufacturing operations within a metal‑mechanic environment, owning performance from raw material through finished product. This role is critical in driving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity results while enabling continuous improvement and developing high‑performing teams. Your leadership will directly impact operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long‑term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Value Stream Manager – Tube Fabrication, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing Tube Fabrication value stream operations, ensuring efficient execution across Production, Advanced Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Facilities, in close collaboration with OPEX, Industrial Engineering, and Cx Practitioners.

  • Defining the value stream strategy, priorities, and Key Results (KPIs), ensuring disciplined execution, performance tracking, and achievement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets. Establish SMART goals and provide continuous follow‑up on team performance.

  • Ensuring process stability and flow optimization within the tube fabrication value stream, including equipment efficiency, product quality, scrap and waste reduction, standard work compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Driving a strong value stream culture aligned with Carrier’s vision, RIIE values, and The Carrier Way, reinforcing accountability, ownership, and ethical behavior.

  • Owning the Labor & Burden budget for the value stream, ensuring cost control, forecast adherence, and accountability for overall financial performance while aligning operational and business strategies.

  • Actively participating in governance and performance forums, including MOR (Monthly Operational Reviews), forecast cycles, weekly productivity reviews, and safety and quality meetings.

  • Leading Tier 3 (daily value stream reviews with operations teams) and Tier 4 (daily reviews with Operations leadership), ensuring visibility of performance, gaps, and structured countermeasures.

  • Supporting and leading strategic decisions related to capacity planning, headcount, production volume changes, line transfers, new product or process launches, technology implementation, and layout or material flow optimization.

  • Building, developing, and retaining high‑performing value stream teams, including talent selection for key roles, capability development, coaching, succession planning, and continuous performance feedback.

  • Driving Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to increase output per hour, improve flow, reduce waste, and maximize resource utilization across the value stream.

  • Participating actively in the Carrier Campus Monterrey Operations Synergy and the Americas Operations Council, sharing best practices and driving standardization across Carrier operations.

  • Ensuring the value stream provides a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment, meeting all industrial safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Fostering a strong accountability and engagement culture, recognizing outstanding performance and promoting open, transparent communication across cross‑functional teams.

Requirements
We are looking for leaders who are value‑stream oriented, results‑driven, and passionate about manufacturing excellence. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical & Administrative Engineering (IMA), Mechanical Engineering (IM), Industrial & Systems Engineering (IIS) Or an equivalent engineering discipline.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and operations environments.

  • At least 5 years in a managerial or value stream leadership role.

  • 5+ years of experience working in and/or reporting to multinational corporations.

  • Strong technical experience in metal‑mechanic manufacturing, with direct involvement in tube fabrication processes.
