Quality Engineer ensures that products and processes consistently meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Job Description

1. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Manage nonconformances, deviations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Develop and maintain Control Plans, inspection criteria, and quality procedures.

  • Perform internal audits and support external audits (ISO, FDA, customer).

  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, depending on the industry.

2. Problem Solving & Root‑Cause Analysis

  • Lead investigations using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and other structured tools.

  • Implement corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.

  • Analyze quality data using SPC, Minitab, or advanced Excel to identify trends and risks.

3. Manufacturing Support

  • Support process validation activities and ensure process capability.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce scrap, rework, and variability.

  • Review and approve engineering changes (ECO/ECN) from a quality perspective.

4. Supplier Quality Management

  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage SCARs, PPAP, and FAI when required.

  • Ensure incoming materials meet specifications and quality requirements.

  • Support supplier audits and qualification activities.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, process efficiency, and cost reduction.

  • Use data‑driven methods to optimize processes and reduce defects.

Minimum Requirements

Strong understanding of quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Proficiency with quality and statistical software.

  • Fluent English
