About the role


As a Strategic Project Manager (Temporary – 1 Year), you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading engineering and investment programs from early definition through successful launch. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are executed in alignment with business strategy, customer requirements, and Carrier excellence standards.
You will act as the key integrator across cross‑functional and cross‑site teams, driving execution, communication, and decision‑making to ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Strategic Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering and strategic programs.

  • Coordinating and managing program budgets for new and ongoing initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance with program timelines according to the Master Plan.

  • Leading the execution of changes while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, productivity, and cost requirements.

  • Managing communication processes and reporting project progress across multiple stakeholders.

  • Leading programs through all development phases to ensure successful product and process launches.

  • Leading and coordinating core team functions to ensure milestones, budget, and technical product requirements are achieved.

  • Ensuring proper project documentation using ISO‑based formats, standards, and governance.

  • Supporting project planning activities including scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, and execution tracking.

  • Collaborating closely with internal and external teams to ensure activities and milestones are executed on time and within scope.

Requirements


We are looking for strategic, organized, and results‑driven professionals with strong leadership and project execution capabilities.
As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical‑Administrative Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in manufacturing, project management, investment projects, and program execution within industrial environments.

  • Strong experience leading cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience managing Master Plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations.

  • Experience in project planning, execution, and governance.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Technical Skills

  • Project management and execution.

  • Problem solving and decision‑making.

  • Manufacturing processes.

  • Personnel and stakeholder management.

  • Testing and validation activities.

  • Line transfers and industrial project execution.

  • New product development and launch support (PPAP exposure preferred).

  • Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Certifications in Project Management / PMO, Six Sigma, or GD&T.

  • Experience in line transfers, new product development, and investment projects.
