About the role

As a Staff Engineer – LabVIEW & Test Automationyou will support sites utilizing custom LabVIEW-based applications, instrumentation, and DAQ hardware, while partnering with IT to resolve technical issues. This role will also contribute to initiatives standardizing LabVIEW usage across sites and advancing data acquisition alignment efforts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Engineer – LabVIEW & Test Automation, you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on LabVIEW, hardware, and test automation best practices.
  • Support and contribute to LabVIEW development projects from concept through deployment.
  • Gather and define requirements for new development efforts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for laboratory systems and data management.
  • Coordinate and track internal and external resources throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support site-level troubleshooting of LabVIEW applications, instrumentation, and DAQ systems.
  • Partner with IT to resolve system integration and infrastructure issues.
  • Travel up to 15% (North America, Europe, and Asia).

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Conversational English
  • 5+ years of experience in LabVIEW development and DAQ hardware integration
  • Certified LabVIEW Developer (current or prior)
  • Proven experience delivering projects from concept through implementation
  • Strong experience with data acquisition systems and test automation
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW application development and architecture
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (RS-485, USB, GPIB, Modbus, Ethernet)
  • Competency with Microsoft O365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of HVACR systems and gas furnace testing
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASHRAE, ARI, DOE, UL testing)
  • Experience developing or supporting web-based applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

      Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

        • Knowledge of HVACR systems and gas furnace testing
        • Familiarity with industry standards (ASHRAE, ARI, DOE, UL testing)
        • Experience developing or supporting web-based applications
        • Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems
