Build a career with confidence

Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is committed to creating solutions that matter for people and our planet for generations to come. From the beginning, we've led in inventing new technologies and entirely new industries. Today, we continue to lead because we have a world‑class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.

About the role

As a Senior Supplier Development Manager, you will play a strategic role in strengthening and future-proofing our supply base. You will drive supplier performance, enhance operational capabilities, and ensure alignment with Carrier’s standards in quality, cost, delivery, compliance, and sustainability.

This position directly impacts business continuity and growth by increasing supplier capacity above demand, reducing supply risks, and ensuring dual sourcing strategies that protect our operations and customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Supplier Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing supplier development strategies to increase capacity and operational resilience.

  • Establishing, monitoring, and improving supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).

  • Conducting supplier audits, performance assessments, and managing scorecards.

  • Driving corrective action plans and closing performance gaps.

  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process optimization).

  • Supporting suppliers in adopting new technologies and sustainability practices.

  • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks (capacity constraints, financial exposure, geopolitical factors).

  • Developing contingency and dual‑source strategies to ensure supply continuity.

  • Monitoring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

  • Closing stocking agreements and ensuring supplier capacity exceeds demand requirements.

Requirements

We are looking for a strategic, process‑driven, and data‑oriented leader with strong negotiation and communication skills. If you thrive in complex environments and enjoy building long‑term supplier partnerships, we would like to hear from you.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

  • 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Supplier Quality.

  • Strong knowledge of supplier performance management and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Experience driving capacity expansion and supplier operational improvements.

  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Advanced use of digital tools and data intelligence to support decision‑making.

  • Availability to travel up to 30% (US Visa required).

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Background in multi‑regional supplier environments.

  • Experience managing dual sourcing strategies.

Benefits

We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary.

  • Health insurance

  • Professional development opportunities
