Summary

Senior NPD Quality Engineer is a design‑focused quality leader who ensures that new products are safe, compliant, reliable, and ready for successful launch. They bridge engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements, Design for manufacturing while driving continuous improvement and risk reduction throughout the development cycle including supplier development and safe launch plans.

Job Description/Core responsibilities

  • Design Assurance Ownership — Leading requirement development, risk assessments, feasibility testing, drawing reviews, DFAM and overall design assurance activities for NPD programs.

  • Test Method Development & Validation — Participating in or leading test method creation, validation, and verification to ensure product reliability and compliance.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Working closely with sustaining engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution of the NPD process and robust quality product launches.

  • Risk Management File Ownership — Reviewing, processing and Maintaining FMEAs, control plans, and other risk‑management documentation throughout the product lifecycle and consider outcomes for safe launch plans

  • Continuous Improvement — Contributing to improvements in NPD quality processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Supplier & Material Evaluation — Supporting evaluation of source materials and suppliers, including qualification and incoming inspection oversight.

  • Customer compliance — Help to drive quality audits from customer at site processes and product level.

Minimum Requirements

  • Quality engineering principles (DFAM, 8D, SPC, CAPA, nonconformance management).

  • Risk analysis & mitigation (FMEA´s, hazard analysis).

  • Technical problem‑solving and structured root‑cause analysis.

  • Strong communication for cross‑functional leadership

  • Fluent English
