About the Role
As a Quality Engineer – Continuous Improvement Projects, you will lead and execute strategic and operational quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes for HVAC systems. This role focuses on identifying, prioritizing, and eliminating sources of variation and defects, ensuring processes are stable, capable, and aligned with product performance requirements.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams, you will drive measurable improvements in product reliability, manufacturing performance, and cost of poor quality (COPQ). Your contributions will directly enhance operational excellence and customer satisfaction through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer – Continuous Improvement Projects, you'll be responsible for:
• Lead end-to-end quality improvement projects, from problem identification through implementation and sustainability, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, variability, process gaps, and opportunities to improve key metrics such as FPY, RTY, Scrap, Cp/Cpk, and process stability.
• Lead structured root cause analysis activities using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5-Why, and Fishbone to resolve chronic and high-impact quality issues.
• Drive process optimization initiatives, including error-proofing (poka-yoke) solutions, process control enhancements, and variation reduction strategies.
• Improve and maintain quality documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure process standardization and sustainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process capability, reduce defects, support engineering changes, and implement new manufacturing technologies.
• Analyze customer complaints and field returns, leading corrective actions and continuous improvement projects to address systemic product quality issues.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Continuous Improvement roles.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (HVAC or similar industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, process control methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• Experience in HVAC manufacturing or related industries such as appliances, mechanical systems, or thermal systems.
• Strong knowledge of quality Core Tools, including SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and APQP.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification or higher preferred).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software such as Minitab.
• Experience leading cross-functional continuous improvement and quality enhancement projects.
