About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the development, launch, and continuous improvement of residential HVAC products. This role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure successful product introductions, engineering change implementation, and ongoing product support. The Project Engineer will participate in technical projects from concept through production launch, contributing to product validation, manufacturing readiness, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting business objectives related to quality, cost, delivery, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from development through production launch.

  • Participate in prototype builds, pilot runs, product validation, and launch readiness activities.

  • Coordinate assigned project tasks and support cross-functional teams in achieving project milestones.

  • Support the implementation and tracking of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

  • Evaluate impacts of engineering changes on BOMs, manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation.

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing, quality, and product-related issues.

  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.

  • Support product testing, qualification, validation, and compliance verification efforts.

  • Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, and project progress updates.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality, manufacturability, productivity, and cost performance.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical requirements.

  • Utilize SAP and engineering systems to support product and project activities.

  • Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor project progress and escalate issues when necessary to support successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0-3 years of experience in Product Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related area.

  • Understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management processes.

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

  • Working knowledge of CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or similar.

  • Basic understanding of quality tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.

  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Evaluate candidates with strong hands-on expertise or knowledge with:

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or product launch activities.

  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.

  • Experience within the HVAC, refrigeration, appliance, or manufacturing industries.
