About the role

As a Materials / Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted production operations. This position is responsible for managing supplier communication, purchase orders, inventory control, and material planning activities to maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive operational excellence and support business objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Materials / Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring daily material coverage to support Clear to Build requirements and production continuity.

  • Monitoring and managing Inventory Management KPIs, WIP, Excess & Obsolete materials.

  • Following up on PO acknowledgements, lead times, past due orders, pull-ins, and push-outs with suppliers.

  • Coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, delivery delays, and material-related issues.

  • Supporting procurement operations including purchase order execution, supplier performance tracking, and cost accountability.

  • Reviewing inventory levels and implementing actions to optimize material flow and reduce operational risks.

  • Analyzing supplier commitments, forecasts, and demand changes to maintain supply continuity.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Production, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering to support operational goals.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, or related fields.

  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or related operational roles.

  • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, inventory control, and material planning activities.

  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with LeanDNA or similar supply chain visibility tools.

  • Knowledge of inventory optimization, replenishment, and forecasting processes.

  • Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) or production ramp-up activities.
