About the role

As a Materials Planning / Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing continuity through effective materials planning, procurement execution, and supplier coordination. This position is critical to ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory levels, and driving operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Materials Planning / Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing daily procurement and materials planning activities to support manufacturing operations and avoid material shortages.

  • Coordinating with Planning, Warehouse & Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure on-time material availability and smooth production flow.

  • Monitoring supplier performance, delivery schedules, lead times, and past due orders to maintain operational continuity.

  • Supporting inventory optimization initiatives through the review of MOQ, safety stock, and planning parameters.

  • Leading problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, and delivery performance.

  • Supporting technical discussions, engineering changes (ECR/ECN), PPAP documentation, and supplier-related requirements.

  • Preparing procurement reports, KPI tracking, and analysis to support business decisions and operational improvements.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Procurement, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or related manufacturing operations.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of Procurement processes, inventory management, and materials planning principles.

  • Experience managing suppliers, delivery performance, and material availability in a manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with Power BI, PowerApps, Excel advanced analytics, or digital reporting tools.

  • Knowledge of ECR/ECN processes, PPAP documentation, and supplier quality coordination.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives.
