About the role

The Materials Planning & SIOP Specialist is responsible for supporting the supply and demand planning process while driving improvements to systems and operational processes that enhance the performance of the work area and team.

This role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop financial forecasts, optimize materials planning strategies, and improve the visibility of demand trends and supply capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Materials Planning & SIOP Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing strategies for materials planning and SIOP.

  • Developing standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP to optimize business resources and meet customer delivery expectations.

  • Developing indicators that enable visibility into short and long-term market trends and demand.

  • Identifying appropriate demand streams and establishing data relationship linkages.

  • Collaborating with product development leaders and sales & marketing teams to develop demand forecasts.

  • Planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations.

  • Working with the manufacturing team to develop monthly production volume plans using business forecasts, inventory levels, actual customer orders, and defined capacity parameters.

  • Identifying and developing new technologies and tools to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability.

  • Tracking appropriate metrics and performance indicators to drive results and continuous improvement.

  • Developing processes and plans to improve supply capabilities.

  • Establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are organized, responsible, proactive, and excellent communicators with strong follow-through and teamwork skills. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • University degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in materials planning, supply chain, or SIOP processes.

  • Advanced knowledge obtained through a combination of education and professional experience.

  • Practical knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems, with the ability to enhance and leverage them in daily work.

  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • An advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.

  • Experience working with demand forecasting and production planning processes.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain or operations.
