About this role

The Supervisor Field Service Engineering provides technical Building Automation Systems (BAS) support to the Project Teams and supervises the Field Control Engineers. The Supervisor Field Service Engineering collaborates with Project Managers to provide leadership and develop leadership skill in field commissioning activities and Field Controls Engineers. Responsible to develop and implement strategy project manpower planning in the field.

This is an in office and an onsite at clients’ locations with around 80% traveling around the Greater Phoenix area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Field Control Engineers through training, scheduling, and performance reviews
  • Measure team optimizing of time on projects and properly entering billing hours
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication to customers, subcontractors, and department managers
  • Oversee field project completion, and quality control
  • Conduct interviews with potential field control engineers.
  • Allocate resources and manpower in conjunctions with Project Managers and Branch Operations Managers
  • Complete required daily reports and field assessment reports for employees and projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to team when needed

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years' experience in the HVAC controls or Building Automation field
    OR
  • Associate degree with 2+ years' experience in the HVAC controls or Building Automation field
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years' experience in the HVAC controls or Building Automation field
  • 1+ years for managing or supervising a technical team
  • Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by company’s insurance carrier.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.x

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or commercial construction
  • Proficient in Automated Logic software, such as WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, or similar software
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Leadership and ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
  • Ability to multitask various large and diverse challenges
  • English verbal and written communication
