About This Role

The Manager of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) supports the Head of the OCIO in the strategic and operational management of the Digital Transformation (DT) and IT departments. This role involves coordinating various functions within the OCIO, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving efficiency and effectiveness in DT & IT operations. The Manager, OCIO is crucial in ensuring that the DT & IT departments operate smoothly and align with the broader goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Assist the Head of the OCIO in developing and implementing DT, IT & PMO strategies that align with the organization’s objectives.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the DT/IT budget and investment planning council, including annual allocation and prioritization process leadership.
  • Process Development & Management: Lead net new DT & IT projects dedicated to establishing standardized PMO processes and tools, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget and adopted by users.
  • Operational Management: Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the OCIO including resource allocation and deliverable/performance monitoring.
  • Meeting & Deliverables Management: Organize and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly DT & IT meetings including meeting facilitation, materials preparation and follow-up.
  • Communication: Coordinate and facilitate effective communication within the PMO team, IT & DT teams and with other business units.
  • Team Leadership: Assist in managing and mentoring a non-direct team of PMO professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Certifications: PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or Lean
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on strategic planning and project management.
  • 5+ years of experience working with project management tools and methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working with IT governance and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, and a Master’s degree.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Ability and desire to think beyond the obvious. You are comfortable building net new things and leading with your experience and knowledge.
  • Storytelling and Visualization: Combining analytical thinking with visual and oral narration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Deep understanding of audiences and how to achieve desired outcomes spanning working level to senior leadership.
  • Strategic Vision: Capability to align DT & IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail: You sweat the small stuff and catch what others let fall between the cracks.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to manage changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, choosing speed over perfection.
