About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our Paisley depot, supporting both depot-based and field-based operations across Scotland. Travel may be required to locations such as Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Falkirk.


This is an outstanding opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience who wants to grow, develop, and take their career to the next level within a global organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment across depot and customer sites.

  • Preparing, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure it’s fully operational before deployment.

  • Carrying out major overhauls, refurbishments, and fault diagnostics to minimise downtime.

  • Working closely with the service team, hire controllers, and foreman to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

  • Travelling to customer sites and taking part in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).

You’ll Have

  • Mechanical engineering experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.

  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.

  • A full UK driving licence.
