Carrier is the leading worldwide provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions. We invented the modern air conditioning, and our team of pioneers and innovators have a long trajectory of developing new technologies.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Lifecycle Manager to lead the design, implementation, and execution of a robust Master Data and BOM governance framework within our Aftermarket organization.

This is a key transformation role aimed at improving the way we manage spare parts across the full product lifecycle — from product launch (phase-in) to end-of-life (phase-out).

Context & Challenges

Today, our aftermarket operations face several challenges:

  • Spare parts are not systematically defined at product launch

  • Lifecycle processes (phase-in / phase-out) are not standardized

  • Master Data inconsistencies impact forecasting, pricing, and operations

  • Risk of selling obsolete or unavailable parts

Your Mission

  • Design and implement a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process

  • Establish strong Master Data and BOM governance

  • Ensure accurate, reliable, and standardized spare parts data across systems (SAP and related tools)

  • Drive change across functions and embed sustainable processes

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Define and implement phase-in and phase-out processes

  • Ensure spare parts are defined upfront for new product launches

  • Manage obsolescence and replacement strategies (supersession logic)

Master Data & BOM Governance

  • Define ownership model (RACI) for data management

  • Establish data creation, validation, and update workflows

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of BOMs and material master data

SKU & Catalogue Management

  • Clean and harmonize a large SKU database (100k+ references)

  • Eliminate duplicates and obsolete entries

  • Ensure catalogue accuracy and pricing integrity

Systems & Data Integration

  • Align processes with SAP (Material Master, BOM, pricing)

  • Ensure data consistency across tools (forecasting, RFQ, selection tools)

  • Reduce manual errors impacting operations

Change Management & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional alignment (Sales, Supply Chain, Digital, Quality)

  • Implement and embed new processes

  • Operate and continuously improve lifecycle management

Expected Impact

  • Improve Forecast Accuracy (from ~58% to ~90%)

  • Increase Fill Rate and service level

  • Improve Open PO Coverage

  • Reduce quotation lead times

  • Minimize data-related errors

Your Profile

  • 7–12+ years of experience in:

    • Master Data / ERP governance

    • Supply Chain / Aftermarket operations

  • Strong expertise in SAP (Material Master, BOM, pricing structures)

  • Experience in industrial or spare parts environments is a strong plus

  • Proven ability to:

    • Design and implement processes

    • Drive change in complex organizations

    • Work cross-functionally

  • Fluent in English

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Change management capabilities

  • Ability to combine strategy and hands-on execution
