About the role

Job Description Summary

The Consolidations Manager is a key member of CCR (Carrier Commercial Refrigeration) Controllership and will manage the global consolidation of financial results and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for CCR ensuring compliance with IFRS and reporting & financial policies. The individual in this role will interact with colleagues across multiple countries and functions within CCR and Haier Smart Home global finance organization. This individual will be expected to not only execute their job responsibilities with a high degree of integrity and quality, but also be an active contributor to continuous improvement initiatives and CCR's culture.

This is a newly created position arising from the sale of CCR from Carrier Corp to Haier Smart Home.  Many of the tasks are currently performed by Carrier and CCR will now need to establish and perform these consolidation tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and build up the CCR consolidation process (including investment elimination, intercompany eliminations and currency translation adjustments), preparing accurate and timely financial statements to management and other internal customers. Prepare various key financial statement reports and analysis of consolidated results

  • Ensure legal entity investment and share capital activity (acquisitions, divestitures, loans, capitalizations, liquidations, mergers, dividends, etc.) are recorded properly in coordination with Regional and Local  Controllers

  • Drive automation and processes improvement initiatives throughout financial reporting and consolidation activities to sustain strategic objectives and reduce complexity

  • Ensure key internal controls are properly identified and functioning as designed, prepare quarterly documentation, as needed, in accordance with several internal controls requirements

  • Lead various ad hoc accounting projects as needed such as acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity transactions, derivative transactions, foreign currency analysis and IFRS and regulatory reports

  • Manage the centralized leases and pensions plans

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Group Consolidations
  • Good understanding and familiarity with IFRS
  • Prior use of Hyperion Finance Management (HFM) Oracle
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Suite is a plus
  • Ongoing desire to learn and commitment to personal development
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
