Finance and Commercial Excellence Manager

We are seeking a high-impact finance professional to join the Australia leadership team in a hybrid role spanning Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Excellence. This role is designed to strengthen financial rigor while materially improving sales effectiveness by embedding disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and performance cadence across the sales organization.
The role partners closely with the Finance Business Partner and Sales leadership, acting as the connective tissue between financial outcomes, commercial execution, and sales predictability.

Responsibilities:
Finance (≈50%) – FP&A & Integration
- Support the Finance Business Partner in forecasting, budgeting, monthly close, and executive reporting.
- Provide financial analysis across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Support financial system and process integrations, including data migration and validation.
- Deliver analysis on orders, backlog, pricing, costs, and segment profitability.
- Prepare materials for senior leadership and regional FP&A stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial analytics, automation, and reporting accuracy.
Commercial Excellence (≈50%) – Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
- Own sales rigor and predictability by driving pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and early risk visibility.
- Ensure disciplined pipeline management with clear opportunity definitions and inspection rhythms.
- Enforce standard sales processes aligned to regional standards across Australia.
- Act as the single owner of CRM, dashboards, and sales performance data quality.
- Partner with sales leaders to lift seller performance through structured target setting and review cadence.
- Translate pipeline and backlog insights into actionable recommendations for sales prioritisation.
- Drive change management and execution of commercial excellence initiatives locally
Candidate Requirements
- CPA or CFA preferred with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong FP&A, forecasting, and analytical background.
- Experience working with sales teams, CRM, or pipeline data highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
