About the role

This role will be responsible for following commodities-Commodity Sourcing- PCBA, control box, wire harnesses, motor, VFD, sensors

Key Job deliverables

  • Proven track record to manage Commodities and generate YOY savings

  • Ability to formalize and deliver a supply chain strategy to support existing and new products.

  • Ability to develop a vendor base for new products & Risk management existing vendor base

  • Effective management of supplies to ensure production support

  • Knowledge and Experience in lean management tools and supplier integration

  • Effective management of Supplier SLA both for products and tools.

  • Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

  • Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.

  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.

  • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.

  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving

  • Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.

Skills / competencies required to do the job

§   PCBA, control box, wire harnesses, motor, VFD, sensors background with previous factory experience.

§   Proficient in understanding 3D and 2 D drawings

§   Experience in driving Supplier qualification programs and supplier process improvements.

§   Good knowledge of Purchasing disciplines and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

§   Well equipped with knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, APQP & QC Tools

§   Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.

§   Experience in Project Management.

§   Value engineering skills (VAVE, should-cost analysis, benchmarking)

§   Customer Focus and understanding of market trends

§   Product Management & Product Benchmarking

§   Proactive and result oriented

§   Ability to work in multi-tasking and a multi-cultural environment

§   Developing and fostering relationships with Suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement

§   Interpersonal and interdepartmental Coordination skills
