Toshiba Carrier UK  (a Carrier company) is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and supply of energy-efficient air conditioning systems.

Carrier is currently recruiting for a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer. This role will be based at our Leatherhead office therefore candidates will ideally live within a commutable distance. Travel will occasionally be required therefore candidates must also have a valid UK driving license.

The main goal of this role is to effectively utilize software programs across Carrier and Ciat brands to select equipment, prepare technically correct and commercially accurate customer quotations from specifications, prepare site project packs and track project progress.

What will I be doing as a Pre Sales Engineer?

• Take ownership of your own roles and responsibilities with decisive decision making.
• Liaise with the factories, technical, contracts and Pre-Sales teams when required.
• Offer assistance to any team member that requires support.
• Provide ongoing customer support throughout the ordering and delivery procedures.
• Collaborate and issue problematic issues to the management team.
• Most importantly be dynamic and think outside of the box and have the ability to develop a solution to help deliver and overcome project challenges.
• Learn the IT  systems used for the brands
• Issuing of order acknowledgments, finished commissioning sheets and customer satisfaction surveys.

Requirements

• Ideally have a qualification in Refrigeration and Air conditioning
• Full UK Driving licence (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants
• F Gas qualified.
• Very high level of technical competence is required with relevant experience of both Carrier and other manufacturer’s equipment.
• Experience within a similar role in the HVAC industry
• Would consider someone with experience within a Technician role in the HVAC industry
