About the role
Seasoned professional contributor in Supply Chain Management. May manage small projects for supply chain management. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with major impact on Supply Chain strategies and operational goals. Responsible for making moderate improvements to supply chain management processes and systems. Works to influence other functions/vendors to support Supply Chain strategy.

Role Purpose:

  • This position is for a supply chain specialist with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Supply Chain Management

  • This position will lead the identification, qualification, and sourcing for product and non-product services in India

  • This position will be based in Hyderabad, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential suppliers to localize product sourcing in India

  • Procure engineering goods, services, and software

  • Source contractor support for the engineering function

  • Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services and supplies

  • Execute supply chain strategies

  • Analyzes prices proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices

  • Evaluate vendors’ capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness

  • Identifies and conduct research on suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met

Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience

  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Premier Engineering Institute

  • A Minimum 8 years of functional Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise

  • Ability to influence, collaborate and work across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.

  • High degree of independence  

  • Problem solving attitude with focus on teamwork

  • Understanding Engineering Drawings & Technical specifications  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Office, PowerPoint)  

  • Relentless drive to overachieve, outstanding team player, strategic vision with ability to execute

  • Excel in a matrix organization, work in a fast-paced team-based environment

  • Ability to work on complex problems in an ambiguous environment.  

  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Power BI, JDE (SAP support) systems
