Build a career with confidence

Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions is committed to creating solutions that matter for people and our planet for generations to come. From the beginning, we've led in inventing new technologies and entirely new industries. Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.

About the Role

The Manager, SCM – Business Excellence will lead the “Design & Plan” layer of the Supply Chain Business Excellence operating model, with Process Excellence & Performance as the core focus of the role. The Manager owns end-to-end process design, standardization, governance, and performance management for the supply chain, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and continuously improving.

Alongside this primary mandate, the Manager sets the direction for the shared Analytics and Automation & AI capabilities that enable every execution pillar (Productivity & Price, Vendor Master & Working Capital, Contracts & Resiliency). While a smaller portion of the role, the Manager shapes the analytics and automation/AI strategy – identifying where digital and AI solutions can reduce manual effort and strengthen decision-making – and works with specialists to deliver it.

The role includes leading a team of specialists/analysts, driving continuous-improvement (Lean/Kaizen) programs, and partnering with global supply chain, finance, and operations leaders to deliver scalable and measurable business outcomes.

Job Description

  • Manages execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, negotation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution.

  • Directs programs for effective vendor selection and management with a view to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply.

  • Reviews changes in price trends and manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to ensure successful procurement process.

  • Manages resolution of client issues or problems.

  • Monitors and coordinates suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

  • Authorizes purchase orders, negotiates prices and approves payments to support the procurement process in large territories.

  • Reviews and assesses request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Excellence & Performance (primary focus)

  • Own end-to-end process mapping, redesign, and standardization across supply chain processes; maintain a single source of truth for process documentation.

  • Establish and run process governance & compliance, including policy adherence, controls, and audit readiness.

  • Lead the PMO for the transformation portfolio – intake, prioritization, milestone tracking, and value realization across pillars.

  • Drive documentation & training, change communication, and L1/L2 performance management to embed and sustain new ways of working.

  • Own the supply chain performance framework: define KPIs, cadence, and reporting; drive process-NPS and continuous-improvement (Lean/Kaizen) initiatives.

  • Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Own the shared analytics layer – productivity insights, data models, and decision-support dashboards – that serve all execution pillars.

  • Lead design and delivery of Power BI/Excel analytics for executive-level insights; ensure data integrity, standard definitions, and auditability.

  • Automation & AI Strategy (enabling, smaller portion of role)

  • Set the direction for process automation and AI – identify and prioritize opportunities where automation or AI can reduce manual effort and improve decision-making – and partner with specialists to deliver and scale them.

  • Sponsor selected automation and AI pilots (e.g., workflow automation, GenAI/AI agents) and track their coverage and impact (e.g., processes automated, hours/FTE saved).

  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists/analysts across process excellence, analytics, and automation; prioritize work and assure quality of deliverables.

  • Act as the primary partner to execution-pillar leads and to global/regional supply chain, finance, and operations stakeholders.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio progress, risks, and business impact; facilitate workshops and steering reviews.
