About the role

The EHS Manager will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols across high-scale data center projects. This role ensures that mission-critical infrastructure is delivered with zero harm, maintaining strict compliance with local regulations and international safety standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Safety Governance: Establish and enforce comprehensive EHS management plans specific to data center environments, focusing on high-risk activities such as heavy lifting, working at heights, and electrical commissioning.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all site activities adhere to national and local safety laws, environmental regulations, and corporate governance standards.

  • Risk Assessment: Lead detailed Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and Job Risk Assessment (JRA) for critical phases, including chiller plant installations and DAHU installation works.

  • Incident Management: Oversee the investigation of all near-misses and incidents using Root Cause Analysis.

  • Contractor Oversight: Audit and manage third-party vendors and sub-contractors to ensure their safety performance aligns with project requirements.

  • Training & Culture: Facilitate safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and specialized training sessions to foster a "Safety First" culture among the project team and workforce.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diplomo in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate, OSHA 30-Hour, or CSP are highly desirable.

  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in EHS management, with at least 3 years specifically within Data Center construction, large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical safety (LOTO) and mechanical HVAC safety protocols.
