Role Summary: Responsible for leading our data analytics and engineering efforts, including data visualization, data engineering, and more. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, drive data-driven decision-making, and deliver actionable insights.

Job Description

  • Digital Vision - Define and communicate the CoE’s digital vision and goals in alignment with the company's business objectives. Lead the development of building systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights across various functions and processes. Lead and develop to-be architecture/landscape for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Guide, influence, and work with Sr. Digital ELT to shape and prioritize the demand for digital by partnering with appropriate resources to facilitate conceptual ideas, business cases, and value plans; ensuring value optimization and communication; enabling continuous improvement in all areas / regions and factories within the BU represented.
  • Leadership and Team Management - Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional CoE team comprised of data analysts, data architects, data engineers, and business analysts. Provide mentorship, guidance, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality
  • Collaborate closely with executives, department heads, and business units to understand their business needs and objectives. Champion the benefits of data products and advocate for its integration into business processes
  • Select, lead and develop the framework data engineering , analytics solution and playbooks to ensure the right information/insights available at right time at right place to right capability which can drive right decisions by business.
  • Lead in coordination with the subject matter experts, application owners and process owners, the development of detailed processes and journeys for the future state in the areas that are going to be impacted by the integration strategy
  • Governance and Compliance - Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for data analysis initiatives. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security protocols
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of projects. Regularly report progress to senior leadership
  • Lead the identification and prioritization of capabilities resulting from the process work. Ensures the connection between the capabilities and the enterprise value streams
  • Work closely with application solution architects to maintain and ensure best practice paradigms and provide impact assessments and solution recommendations as appropriate
  • Provide strong business judgment consultancy for other COEs and internal customers to effectively deliver Digital capabilities and services.
  • Establishes the mechanism by which programs are funded, executed and governed within the organization

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineering and Analytics Manager .
  • Should have vast experience in leading teams in Data Products, & Data Architecture.
  • Robust understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, including data modeling techniques, data storage solutions, data integration strategies, and scalability considerations, is crucial for designing robust and scalable data systems.
  • Solid experience in data engineering, data analysis and reporting; industry experience
  • Background in market research and project management
  • Knowledge on Data warehouses, Data lakes, Pipelines for ingesting and processing data is a must
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, R and SQL; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, SAS, Power BI)
  • Should have experience in dealing with large set of data coming from ERP systems
  • Should possess excellent problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges, troubleshoot issues in data pipelines, optimize performance, and ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Projects/products implementation methodologies/processes (agile etc.)
  • Communication with customers/partners/media/internal
  • Hiring/Training/Mentoring
  • Partner with other COEs / Vendors to deliver projects, initiatives, and IT service improvements for the BUs.
  • Ensure data roadmap is aligned with Carrier’s IT overall Digital and Business Strategy
  • Track operational performance and work with other COEs and Shared Service Leaders to identify requirements for business and functional improvements
  • Address customer issues/concerns in accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of confidential BU information

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in driving engineering and analytics topics supporting the business to make decisions, ideally on a global scale.
  • Strong expertise in data engineering technologies, and  Data Products,
  • 5+ years of process optimization and business case realization
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

Other Requirements

  • Willing to travel domestic and internationally (up to 25%)
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, compliance, and security protocols
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with executives and technical teams alike
