About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer with expertise in electronics design and embedded systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing hardware solutions for a range of applications, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and innovation. As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of hardware systems, contributing to the success of our projects and driving technological advancements as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Embedded Hardware design and development. Individual must have the ability to understand system requirements, create functional specifications, and design. Detailed responsibilities include
Review product requirements; create technical specifications as well as system testing requirements
Ownership of complete hardware development cycle (Design, Development & Testing)
Design & Development, modifications of embedded systems around 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers including Analog & Digital components
Update and maintain detailed schematics, components library, BOM and design documents for products.
Support sustenance activities including component management
Provide PCB layout design guidelines to PCB designers and maintain Gerber files
Perform componentselection for obsolescence and value engineering programs
Provide detailed circuit analysis, Stress analysis, simulations, HW FMEA
Preparation of test plans for the circuits designed or modified.
Troubleshooting hardware, debug firmware and optimize performance.
Cross-functional interfacing to accomplish assigned tasks - with supply chain, Manufacturing, procurement, quality, regulatory, service etc
Follow internal hardware and firmware development processes and contribute to process improvements
Requirements
Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience
Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
University Degree or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
OR
An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
