The incumbent will be responsible for project Management and NPD of light commercial and sustaining products with major focus on cost competitive.

Key Responsibility:

  • Handling project management activities

  • HVAC & R component and overall design and development.

  • Handling Product development projects from concept to launch (concept, design, reviews, validation, and product launch).

  • Work closely with sourcing, supply chain & vendors for part development.

  • Coordinate with sales / service / quality team to address customer queries / complaints.

  • Product Customization as per India business specific requirement

  • VAVE for Light Commercial products

  • Upgrade products to meet regulatory requirement (BEE / QCO / other compliance.)

Education Preferred:


Minimum Bachelor’s Engineering degree in mechanical engineering.

M.Tech: Heat transfer / HVACR would be an added advantage

Experience Preferred:

Target experience level: 8~12 years

HVAC Light commercial / VRF / Ducted / Cassette & Residential product development. 

Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

  • Experience in Product management; Should have been through or part of 2~3 product life cycles /projects.

  • Knowledge about refrigeration/ air conditioning cycle, Thermodynamics, and its related components

  • Should be able to work along with Cross functional team and vendor for design closure.

  • Prior experience must in sheet metal and plastic part design development

  • Knowledge of stage gate process is preferable.

  • Experience in BEE application process & knowledge of QCO for HVAC systems & its component.

  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in simulations tools (Model based design/ CFD) would be preferred.

  • Should have gone extensively through ECR / ECIN process.

  • Exposure to design software. ProE / Creo, AutoCAD mandatory

  • Experience in VAVE / Cost reduction projects.

  • Knowledge in FMEA, Quality system process & Manufacturing process

  • Multiple project handling skills

  • Proficient on MS office suites e.g. PPT, MS word, Excel

  • Exposure to Inverter technology, VRF  

Desirable Competencies/ Secondary Skill Set:

Electrical/ controls logic & its component selection knowledge

Proficient in system balancing.

Other Competencies:

Better communication skills - oral and written.

Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

Passionate about building high-quality data management systems with implementation of best practices.

Understanding and responding quickly to customer issues.
