ROLE DESCRIPTION:


We are looking for a strong Atlassian Administrator, as responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other related tools.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, customize workflows, implement plugins, and ensure the seamless functioning of these tools. You will also play a key role in identify improvements, provide innovative solutions, troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and implementing best practices for Atlassian tool usage.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Atlassian toolset administration.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer, configure, and support all integrations and changes to Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and other Atlassian tools via Atlassian’s REST API.

  • Design and support Jira schemes for permissions, custom workflows, fields, screens, notifications, and issue level permissions schemes that match the organizations overall SDLC standards.

  • Create and support custom dashboards, filters, boards in Jira with use of third part add-ons like Rich Filters etc.

  • Use of Atlassian’s Command Line Interface (CLI) along with the Jira CLI, Confluence CLI and Bitbucket CLI.

  • Integrating third party tools with Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence.

  • Help teams with their release management effort and automation of releases and release deliverables.

  • As needed, create custom macros in Confluence, creating custom hook scripts in bitbucket and working with Jira workflow automation tools (triggers, conditionals etc).

  • Administer and manage use of Jira portfolio/roadmaps to create and administer plans, programs.

  • Promote best practices for the usage of Atlassian tools.

  • Serve as one of the subject matter experts as well as develop, test, and deploy upgrades for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

  • Serve as a coach for users who are not familiar with Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence to establish best practices at both process level and for better data governance.

  • Meet with stakeholders to perform requirements gathering, process improvements for new and existing configuration changes.

  • Create and maintain detail technical and user facing documentation.

  • Help guide and maintain the organization of data in Atlassian tools.

  • Support and resolve issues with Atlassian Suite.

  • Pro-actively identify improvements and innovative solutions/capabilities to support the organization objectives.

  • Work with IT in defining, maintaining, and monitoring Atlassian suite infrastructure and user management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.

  • 3+ years professional experience in Atlassian management.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience with migration from on-prem to Atlassian Cloud.

  • Experience in DevOps, Agile methodologies and SDLC.

  • Strong understanding of workflow customization, schemes, user management and access controls.

  • Experience with plugin management, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience working with Atlassian SDK and API framework.

  • Basic SQL and JQL query experience.
