Position Summary
The Systems Engineering Senior Fellow’s mission is to provide strategic leadership of the systems engineering discipline at Carrier.  This includes systems expertise, mentoring and requirements leadership across the company.  The focus of this expert will be to advance platform-based design practices across engineering teams through knowledge transfer, upskilling and creation of standard methods and practices.  This technical leader will also be accountable for identifying tools and external partnerships to enable next generation systems engineering capabilities at Carrier.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion development of fundamentals of Systems Engineering discipline across Carrier including methods and tools
• Support discipline health assessment and gap closure for the Systems Engineering discipline.
• Lead initiative to define and roll out the overall process flow for platform-based development
• Facilitate workshops and training to demonstrate robust implementation of the systems engineering workflow and drive adoption of standard work.
• Mentor engineering teams on systems thinking fundamentals and platform-based design methodology.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years experience in systems engineering, requirements management, and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:             

• Advanced degrees (MS or PhD).
• Ability to work part-time while delivering high-impact knowledge transfer.
• Proficiency in SysML, MBSE tools, and requirements management platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

The annual salary for this position is between $212,000– $297,000.  Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
