About This Role
This role requires the candidate to be able to identify service solution selling opportunities, work with key players within National & Regional Account customers and develop key strategic C-Level relationships with Service & Aftermarket customers who have a National / Regional presence. This role also requires the candidate to be able to collaborate across the North America Field Operations organization, the Strategic Account Team Leaders (Carrier Factory), and other Carrier Corporation National Leaders to drive growth within their assigned accounts.
This role will act as the primary contact on all associated strategic customers and develop a professional relationship within their senior leadership with the purpose of understanding the customer needs and meet those within the bounds of contracted scope. Additionally, this role will support the daily interactions with our Strategic Account Commercial Retail Team and their customers to expand the relationship and grow our overall share of wallet.
Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States, with a requirement for proximity to a major metropolitan airport to support national sales needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive national business development by identifying, pursuing, and securing new end user relationships while expanding existing accounts to grow Carrier Commercial Service and Aftermarket revenue.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior decision makers (C suite, VPs, Directors of Facilities, Engineering, and Operations), with a primary focus on large, multi site distribution center environments.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to position Carrier as the preferred supplier for competitive service and replacement projects.
- Manage and expand Commercial Retail and National Account relationships, maximizing service, aftermarket, and bundled solution opportunities.
- Lead the end to end sales process, including needs assessments, solution development, pricing, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Prepare and negotiate complex sales contracts in partnership with operations, finance, legal, and field leadership to ensure commercially sound and executable agreements.
- Collaborate closely with field sales, service teams, branch, and regional leadership to support growth targets and ensure alignment between sales strategy and operational delivery.
- Work directly with building owners to improve system reliability, reduce energy consumption, and enhance indoor environmental quality.
- Utilize team selling and solution partner strategies to bundle offerings and increase Carrier’s share of wallet.
- Collect, analyze, and apply market and customer data to identify opportunities, inform sales strategy, and prioritize prospecting efforts.
- Represent the broader organization by building external relationships and participating in industry events, bids, trade shows, and professional organizations aligned with company mission and strategy.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, CRM (Salesforce) updates, and expense tracking.
- Support existing customer relationships with significant travel requirements (approximately 45–50%).
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to field level professionals while influencing others on policies, practices, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 7+ Years of Experience in Commercial HVAC Sales.
- Ability to Travel 50% Domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a technical field.
- Experience growing market share in Commercial HVAC Service Sales, with a demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities and execute growth strategies across both existing and emerging accounts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical and commercial information to a broad range of stakeholders.
- •Subject matter expertise in the Commercial Retail market, with a specialized focus on building and maintaining relationships with key industry players and consulting partners.
- High level of technical and financial expertise to effectively and independently assist field offices in selling Carrier Commercial equipment and services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Adept at using Salesforce as a strategic tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, and generating actionable insights for sales growth.

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is $146,750–$205,250. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
