About this role

A Cost Reduction Engineer is responsible for identifying and implementing cost-saving measures within an organization. This role involves analyzing and evaluating the cost of goods and services, developing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve cost savings goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Track the results of cost reduction efforts and report on progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and quality assurance, to achieve cost savings goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in cost reduction.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years proven experience in cost reduction, cost analysis, or a project management role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in cost reduction.
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, MRP systems).
  • Proficiency in 3D Creo and Windchill a plus
