Role Responsibilities:
Perform time studies in bottleneck operations and propose solutions to increase efficiency.
Create/modify SOW/WI for welding and compressor assembly work stations.
Create/Modify PFMEAs across various operations.
Support documentation and process checks by identifying improvement opportunities.
Organize tooling and improve workflow layouts to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Learn manufacturing material flow and production scheduling by shadowing engineers and participating in planning activities.
Participate in continuous improvement by championing Carrier Excellence Projects focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
Assist in troubleshooting engineering or production errors by participating in root cause analysis meetings.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including welders, design engineers, quality engineers, and operations supervisors.
Role Purpose:
Gain hands on exposure to core manufacturing processes for Carrier Water-Cooled chillers.
Support efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
Develop practical engineering skills (process analysis, standard work creation, PFMEA).
Build foundational knowledge of ASME code for pressure vessel manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any engineering field.
Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven and proactive.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
Previous internships experience preferred.
