We are seeking a Product Specialist for Commercial Heat Pumps. The position would need to be well versed with Heat Recovery systems, such as heat recovery chillers, water-to-water heat pumps or air-to-water heat pumps.  These systems are used in some of the most important building and industrial projects around the globe. You will create and execute technical sales strategies for commercial heat pumps for the North American region.

Responsibilities include all aspects of the creation and delivery of sales strategies to the North American selling organization. Assist in driving the sales organization to make sure they are knowledgeable and articulate on the products, tools and strategies. Meet with critical customers as the Carrier industrial heat pump subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the recognized subject matter expert on product of responsibility
  • Leverage your unique expertise to develop strategies that promote and sell heat pumps
  • Provide feedback and lead in the creation of unique, next generation sales tools to promote the value of our products
  • As the recognized systems expert, support presale meetings with decision makers on high profile chiller systems
  • Collect Voice of Customer feedback for future program development
  • Manage and create sales training material for heat pumps
  • Some travel required, approximately 25-30%

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree 
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Marketing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering
  • Experience in Commercial HVAC Sales, Product Management, Application Engineering or Design
  • Experience with Electrification and Decarbonization applications
  • Experience with semi-custom and custom commercial applied chillers or heat pumps
  • High comfort level with presenting technical information to large groups and facilitating large group discussions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • HVAC industry experience with consulting engineers and end owners.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers
  • Key traits include personality defined by positivity, responsibility, integrity, accountability, and respect culminating in a strong work ethic
