Job Purpose

You will own the strategic sourcing, cost management, and supplier relationships for PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services). Your goal is to secure high-performing electronics partners, drive cost savings, and ensure zero production disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy: Build and execute sourcing plans for PCBA and electronics contract manufacturing to achieve the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

  • Supplier Management: Lead business reviews (QBRs) with EMS partners. Track and improve supplier metrics for Quality, Cost, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).

  • Cost & Negotiation: Negotiate annual pricing, manufacturing fees (VA), and component Bill of Materials (BOM) costs. Identify savings through benchmarking.

  • NPI Support: Work with R&D and Engineering to source components early in the design phase, avoiding End-of-Life (EOL) or obsolete parts.

  • Risk & Supply Continuity: Develop dual-sourcing strategies and buffer stock plans to protect production against electronic component shortages or market allocations.

  • Contracts: Draft and negotiate Manufacturing Services Agreements (MSAs) and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years in strategic procurement, with at least 3 years directly managing PCBA and EMS categories in a manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing (SMT, turnkey vs. consignment models) and advanced BOM analysis.

  • Systems: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.

  • Skills: Proven negotiation track record, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
