About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Lab Engineer to lead the design, operation, and optimization of HVAC systems in laboratory and controlled environments (e.g., psychometric rooms, calorimeter rooms, noise rooms).

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate testing conditions, system reliability, and compliance with international standards, while supporting NPD programs and improving lab performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize HVAC systems for laboratory environments (psychometric rooms, calorimeter rooms, noise rooms)

  • Ensure precise control of temperature, humidity, airflow, and air quality in line with required standards

  • Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of laboratory HVAC systems

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues

  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory systems

  • Ensure compliance with AHRI, ISO, JIS, and other relevant standards

  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders for project execution

  • Develop and review technical documents, drawings, and specifications

  • Drive energy-saving initiatives and system efficiency improvements

  • Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in laboratory HVAC systems, with hands-on experience in psychometric or calorimeter rooms

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory HVAC systems (e.g., airflow control, pressure control, air changes, fume exhaust systems)

  • Understanding of HVAC design, load calculation, and system performance analysis

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience in project coordination and system commissioning

  • Leadership ability with experience supervising engineers or technicians

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Good command of English
