The Market Analyst reports directly to the Director of Product Management & Strategy, Kidde Fire Systems, and collaborates with product management/marketing, IT, customer service, operations, finance, engineering and others.  The position is responsible for all Kidde Fenwal divisions including Kidde Fire Systems, USA, Kidde Fire Protection, UK, Kidde India and Fenwal Controls, USA.

About this role:

The Market Analyst will be the interface between the commercial needs of the business and the ERP system.  The analyst will manage the product pricing process and create customer-facing price lists based on product management recommendations. The analyst will own the customer sales data and is responsible for generating dashboards, reports and forecasts.  A continuous improvement mindset and vision for evolving processes and tools will be required. The analyst will support transformation efforts for the long-term continued development and growth of the Kidde Fire Systems business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accuracy and timely updates of customer data, customer product access, customer discounts, product pricing, and alignment with the ERP system and the extranet platform. In the future state, recommends and oversees implementation of automation to drive efficiencies.
  • Manages company product pricing at part number level for customers by analyzing costs and margins and using input from product line managers.
  • Creates dashboards and reports for daily, monthly, and quarterly periodic bookings and sales by product, product type, customer, customer type, country, region, segment, etc.
  • Extracts customer and sales data and generates trend charts/visualization for periodic and episodic distribution to key stakeholders.
  • Analyzes current pricing, discounting, and approval processes and recommends and implement standardization, automation, and new tools wherever possible and required.
  • Analyzes customer-level sales and margin against targets and market size and recommends growth rate and annual discounts.
  • Reviews product volume trends and provides SKU reduction recommendations to Product Line Managers.
  • Assists with maintaining a safe working environment for all.
  • Meets and exceeds the organization’s KPIs and aligns with organizational strategies.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience with analyses, visualization, and trends in marketing.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with market, pricing, and margin analyses, is a plus
  • Data Sciences / Data Analytics
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with analysis/visualization tools (PowerBI, others)
  • Ability to present reports, conclusions, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, both orally and visually
