This position is for a Service Technician in Aftermarket and Service who is under moderate supervision. Performs moderately complex on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation. Responsible for analyzing test readings, computer printouts, and trouble reports to determine equipment repair needs. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute preventive maintenance, repair and inspection activities for multiple projects located in multiple states. Document and track all activities
  • Execute hands-on maintenance, repair and project inspections as required.
  • Investigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve equipment and systems problems
  • Generate site inspection reports and recommended action plans as needed
  • Verify that DDC and data acquisition systems are collecting M&V trend data as needed. Collect trend data and transmit to the M&V department
  • Prepare inspection and monthly project status reports that are well written and accurate
  • Assist in the preparation of subcontractor scopes for maintenance and repair bids.
  • Maintain and update project folders and files in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Operations manager

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of work experience in a Commercial/Industrial maintenance and repair industry
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record required
  • Applicants must reside within a 30-minute radius of the project site in Ann Arbor, MI, in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • 1+ years of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and DDC equipment and systems
  • Ability to obtain Local, State and Federal security clearances that may be required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Safety conscious with up to date training focused on the Electrical & HVAC service industries
  • Excellent computer skills and fully proficient with MS Office applications, namely Excel & Outlook
