About the role

As a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, you will execute elements of product development activities and testing to ensure the highest quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing commonality and optimization of products and components, providing technical leadership and driving innovative design solutions that impact our customers' comfort, safety, and sustainable efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Product Development Management:Manage elements of product development activities including cost estimates, implementation of standard specifications, drawing board layout and interpretation, and development of performance or maintenance requirements.

  • Testing & Qualification: Execute tests and qualifications for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, modifying or adjusting equipment to meet those specifications.

  • Product Optimization: Enhance commonality and drive optimization across various products and components.

  • Design & Design Assessment: Test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects and determine the necessity of design modification.

  • Documentation & Technical Support: Produce parts, specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, systems, or work orders/purchase requests, and work with the quality clinic and related departments to support the test and verification of field issues.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, detailed-oriented, and excellent problem-solvers with a passion for product optimization. If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum you must have:

  • University Degree or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience (OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience).

  • Advanced knowledge obtained through advanced education combined with engineering experience.

  • Practical to substantial knowledge of organizational structures, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage them in daily work.

  • Experience in executing test and qualification processes for systems, sub-systems, and components.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Proven experience working directly with a quality clinic on the analysis and verification of field issues.

  • Advanced expertise in evaluating alternative mechanical designs and implementing processing method modifications.

  • Experience managing cost estimates and specialized layout interpretations within the HVAC or climate solutions industry.
