Procurement Specialist

Carrier is seeking a motivated Buyer to support the procurement of direct materials required for manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, managing purchase orders, monitoring key performance indicators, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting production continuity and achieving inventory and service level objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the timely procurement and supply of direct materials for production lines.

• Creating, issuing, and managing purchase orders to support operational requirements.

• Monitoring and tracking purchasing and supply chain KPIs to drive performance improvements.

• Maintaining optimal inventory levels while balancing cost and supply demands.

• Building and sustaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers to ensure on-time material delivery.

Requirements

 As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles.

• Intermediate English communication skills.

• Experience creating and managing purchase orders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.

• Experience working with inventory management and supplier performance metrics.
