Description

Carrier Digital Hub India is looking for a passionate candidate to join our Digital ERP CoE team. As part of Carrier's digital transformation, this role is the Specialist for SAP – ABAP. The Key responsibilities will be to develop and optimize ABAP solutions for SAP across various projects, focusing on data integration, error handling, performance tuning, and custom enhancements and support.

  Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop and maintain ABAP programs for data mapping, transformation, and harmonization between source and target systems, ensuring accurate and consistent data processing across SAP landscapes.Interface Development: Design and implement interfaces using IDocs, AIF, RFCs, BAPIs, and SLT, enabling reliable system integration and data exchange between SAP and non-SAP applications.Error Handling and Debugging: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve ABAP program and interface issues, including data inconsistencies, processing errors, and integration failures, to ensure stable operations.Enhancements and Customization: Design and develop custom ABAP enhancements (user exits, BAdIs, enhancements, reports, forms) to meet evolving business and technical requirements.Performance Tuning and Optimization: Optimize ABAP programs for high-volume data processing through efficient coding practices, performance analysis, and tuning to meet SLAs and system performance standards.

  Experience:

  Minimum 3–5 years of experience in information technology with hands-on responsibilities in SAP ABAP development and related enterprise application areas.

  Minimum 3–4 years of proven, hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP project delivery or production support, including enhancements, interfaces, and reports.

  Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA ABAP, including modern ABAP concepts, performance optimization, and integration with core SAP modules. Results orientation, striving to bolster personal and team results.

  Effective interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills

  Open and able to work in culturally diverse environment

  Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in consultancy.

  Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Finance/ Accounting/ Commerce related field is preferred.
