From the beginning, we've led in inventing new technologies and entirely new industries. Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Automation Engineer who approaches quality as a software engineering discipline. The engineer will understand application architecture and source code, write unit and integration tests within project repositories, build browser automation with Playwright, and develop AWS Lambda-based synthetic monitoring and reliability automation using CloudWatch and infrastructure as code.
You will solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative delivery environment. You will work directly with developers and cloud engineers across frontend, API, serverless, and observability layers. Success in this role requires the ability to read unfamiliar code, design maintainable automation, debug failures across distributed cloud services, and deliver repeatable execution through CI/CD. Manual exploratory testing may be used selectively in the process.
Responsibilities:
Automation software and frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain production-quality automation software testing tools.
Unit and component tests: Identify test boundaries and write unit tests within the project repository using tools such as pytest, Jest, or equivalent frameworks.
UI automation: Build reliable Playwright test suites using Page Object Model or comparable patterns, cross-browser execution, stable selectors, test data management, and diagnostic artifacts such as screenshots and traces.
API and contract validation: Create automated API, integration, and contract tests covering positive, negative, boundary, authentication, and response-schema scenarios.
AWS reliability automation: Develop or extend AWS Lambda functions that execute synthetic checks, handle failures safely, emit structured logs, and publish custom CloudWatch metrics.
Engineering collaboration: Participate in design and code reviews, improve testability and acceptance criteria, document technical decisions, and explain automation code during reviews and troubleshooting sessions.
Key Sills:
6+ years of professional software engineering, test automation, SDET, cloud automation, or closely related development experience, including hands-on coding responsibility.
6+ Hands-on experience developing AWS Lambda functions and troubleshooting with CloudWatch Logs, Logs Insights, metrics, and alarms, including IAM, EventBridge and SNS
6+ years of experience designing and building automation frameworks using Python or JavaScript
6+ experience with UI and integration test frameworks like Playwright
5+ experience in writing unit and component tests using pytest, Jest, or similar tools.
4+ Experience with CloudFormation or other infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS SAM/CDK
2+ experience with performance and load testing tools like Locust.
1+ year of hands‑on experience leveraging AI‑assisted development or testing tools (e.g., Claude, OpenAI, Copilot).
