Carrier’s Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and Sustainability team are dedicated to supporting the Company’s global vision, profitability, growth, and sustainability objectives. The team will do this through leadership, execution of the acquisition, divestiture, joint venture processes, and portfolio development. This team can lead to various product and professional growth opportunities, ranging from operations leadership to functional leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, evaluation, and negotiation of acquisitions, joint ventures, or divestiture for assigned business units or the corporation
  • Participate as a member of a deal team. The deal teams are responsible for activities related to mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and joint ventures.
  • Identify, screen, evaluate, and structure deals.
  • Support Business Unit leadership in all aspects of the transaction process, including negotiation, due diligence, closing, and integration
  • Perform detailed financial valuations and critically evaluate business plans and forecast models
  • Work with investment banking firms in the preparation and execution of a large-scale transaction.
  • Prepare strategic rationale and valuation metrics in support of the internal approval process.
  • Assist Business Units with the development of inorganic growth strategies; provide in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, including competitor analysis and benchmarking
  • Participate in special projects with other Resource Units (i.e., strategic analysis or industry studies)
  • Perform industry analysis and competitive activities within the marketplace

Qualifications:

  • Proven success the execution of corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships
  • Excellent analytical skills, including an in-depth understanding of valuation methodologies
  • They are influencing up and across complex, global organizations.

  • The successful incumbent must demonstrate behaviors aligned with The Carrier Way, including playing to win, achieving results, choosing speed, daring to disrupt

Experience and Education:

  • five plus years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
  • Knowledge of and/or experience similar and/or adjacent industries
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
