Position: Marketing and Communications (Marcom) Specialist COMMERCIAL FIRE

Kidde Commercial has an opportunity for a Marketing Communications Specialist COMMERCIAL FIRE in Barcelona, Spain. This role will support and contribute to the Marketing and Marcom team for the commercial fire business unit. As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of marcom related activities such as social media visibility (LinkedIn marketing campaigns), marketing campaigns aligned with brand guidelines and storytelling message, internal and external announcements and website management.

What will you be doing as a Marketing Communications Specialist COMMERCIAL FIRE?

  • Develop and executing a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting local priorities in conjunction with the Marketing and Marcom manager (PR and media comms).

  • Implement online marketing activities including social media, SEO/SEM, demand generation, lead generation, etc

  • Track the effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as required

  • Lead the planning and implementation of PR and initiatives related to the brand

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies to ensure consistent brand messaging and communication

  • Develop deep understanding and continued learning of competitive landscape, target customer needs-based segmentation, product positioning and feature set, and macro marketplace trends to ensure we maintain a leading edge with our product line.

  • Establish strong relationships with Sales Teams and Channel Representatives to validate the marketing communication aligned with the product direction.

  • Manage communications spending and working with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assets

  • Be present to the teams with monthly contact to the different regional teams to support them to #1 as a TEAM

  • Case study identification and alignment with customer/sales to make it visible.

  • White papers and reference book updated.

  • Support Product Management team with the competitive teardowns of products to understand product differentiation and define the value proposition for our solution. 

  • Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends

  • Help to develop a Sales “Playbook” for the solution which outlines for the Sales Teams the value proposition, key messages, competitor differentiation, data sheets, and other marketing collateral.  Document pricing and positioning strategy for the solution.

  • Produce marketing newsletter and professional fire blog.

  • Drive the right plan to increase the market presence in the market by different strategies: external webinars and interviews online, etc…

  • Organize, implement, and maintain the tactical day-to-day activities needed.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in a similar role (3+ years of marcom experience a plus)

  • Proficient in developing, executing, and measuring demand-generation programs that keep customers and prospects engaged throughout the funnel

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools

  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired

  • A strong network of PR and media contacts would be highly advantageous

  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (Native preferred) and additional languages would be a plus (Italian, French or German)

  • Self-starter motivated to expand skill set and grow experience.

  • High level of attention to detail, including a proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders

  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind

  • <20% travel
